Preffer shopping?

Milan is home to some of the biggest names in haute couture and exclusive fashion labels. When you look at fashion magazines from all over the globe, Milan’s fashion industry features, whether it is interviews with elite designers or fashion lines from renowned stores. Many of the trends that are released each season hit the Milan catwalks long before they find their way to London or New York. The city is also home to boutique stores and high street brands so if you are on a limited budget you will still find great deals for your price range.
Much of the Milan fashion district centers around Quadrilatero d'Oro or the Golden Rectangle when translated. The four streets contain a high concentration of stores including the Armani superstore on Via Manzoni, Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren on Via Montenapoleone, and Gucci and Versace on Via Sant' Andrea. Prada's flagship store can be found in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II Arcade, the world’s oldest shopping mall, as well as many other exclusive brands. It is worth visiting to see the mall alone. This classic Art Nouveau gallery offers incredible architecture with mosaic marble floors and ceilings. Take time out to stop for a classic Italian coffee and absorb the beautiful surroundings.

If you are looking for something a little different, then browse the independent boutique shops. The best place to experience this is Brera District. This area has a bohemian vibe and there is nothing better than to walk the narrow streets and take in the atmosphere. During the weekends, the charming streets are lined with antique stalls.

There are several department stores across the city offering everything under one roof. Discover several floors of fashion, beauty, jewelry, accessories and interior pieces. Some of the top department stores are la Rinascente, The Brian and Barry Building, Excelsior Milano and Coin. After a day of intensive retail therapy, drop off your bags, relax and unwind at one of the beautiful Milan hotels. We offer wide range of accommodation from ultra luxury international chains to small boutique hotels.
