Great Wildebeest Migration in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya and super new lodge!

The Wildebeest Migration, is one of the “Seven New Wonders of the World” and also known as The World Cup of Wildlife. If there is a safari you should go on, this has it be it. The Maasai Mara and the Serengeti National Park together form what no other reserve in Africa can! It is incredible, it is magic, it is indescribable and it is WOW! No where in the world is there a movement of animals as immense as the wildebeest migration, over two million animals migrate from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the greener pastures of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya during July through to October. The migration has to cross the Mara River in the Maasai Mara where crocodiles will prey on them. This is one of the highlights as the animals try and cross the Mara River alive. We invite you to discovered with us an amazing new property Angama, a remarkable new owner-run safari lodge inspired by the Swahili word for ‘suspended in mid-air’. Located high above the floor of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Angama Mara overlooks Kenya’s Maasai Mara, considered by many as the loveliest game reserve on the continent. Here guests will find a lodge where everything is as it ought to be: two intimate camps of just fifteen tented suites each, a private airfield and access to the Mara below, tailor-made safari days and a famously warm Kenyan welcome. I personally visited and stayed in the lodge and to my opinion is one of the most amazing, luxury and also comfortable lodges I have even seen! Therefore we have prepared with our local partners - in the spirit of the famed “Out of Africa,” journey for you to explore two unique areas of Kenya that beautifully combine diverse wildlife, dramatic scenery, fascinating people and valuable conservation efforts. Your journey begins as you fly by private charter to the Laikipia Plateau where woodlands, grasslands and fertile riverbeds nestle between the iconic Mount Kenya and Great Rift Valley. You then travel to the legendary Maasai Mara for a quintessential African safari encompassing abundant wildlife, endless grassy plains and towering escarpments. See our Bon Voyage section for more details! See you in Africa!

Falisia Luxury Collection Hotel and Portopiccolo

Located on a private bay on the Triestine coast, Portopiccolo is a welcoming and exclusive base for exploring a unique territory. Dropping straight into the sea, the white calcium rocks of the Falesian cliffs exist in a protected natural environment. The fairy-tale architecture of the Castle of Miramare, surrounded by a rich park of botanical species and facing out onto the Marine Preserve protected by the WWF. And then, the Carso plateau with its colours that change from the green of Mediterranean scrub in summer to the intense reds of autumn. Located just a few miles from the Collio hill region, a series of pleasant hills accented by small villages and specialised vineyards where one can taste some of the best wines in the world. This place is very special. Not even that is protected by the rocks from wind ( you get this annoying Bora here few days per year) but it´s also boasts luxury apartments and villas set like a roman amphitheatre dotted aroud the rocks. There is a private beach club, panoramatic pool for residents, numerous beautiful boutiques e.g. Cruciani and Diptyque, cafes, restaurants and bars, cameras everywhere, undergroud parking and numerous little cute squares and streets. All super clean and new. On top of all this ( including a marina of course) you have Falisia, The Luxury Collection Hotel with gurmet restaurant called Cliff. Honestly I had the most amazing food here. The tasting menu was a journey and completely unexpected. Hotel also have cozy spa and very pleasant bright and spacious rooms. I must say that I (and its not often the case) felt home, welcomed and pampered. The staff was great, but so the managment was. I would gladly return here and I hope I will.

Rome and new Fendi private suites

Rome has numerous wonderful hotel but there is still something new to discover. Yes of course you can always check - in Hotel de Russie and you will be happy but there are some other properties worth trying. Villa Spalletti Trivelli - for the history, service and wonderful amenities and free minibar and wine tasting included in the rate. And the trip to the family vineyards is a must! J.K. Place - for the feel, design and privacy. Hotel First - for location, terrace and cozy rooms. or Fendi Private Suites - intimate and luxurious plus have unique Diptyque toiletries ( I adore Dipryque). Here you’ll find the classic visual language of Fendi, combining graphic rigour with imaginative freedom, history, tradition and modernity. In the Fendi words "The result is an elegant dialogue between old and new, starting with the layout of the apartments, which balances the beauty of the original structure with new and innovative uses of the space." In my words " Stylish, you see and feel luxury ( understated), mellow colours and disceet." Plus Zuma will open here soon.
